RIP-JuanGuerra-Gonzales
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am completely stuffed right now. My Mom makes the best turkey and stuffing. Both of my parents are knocked out asleep right now. My Dad fell asleep first while my Mom and I watched a couple of movies (Beverly Hills Chihuahua Part 2 and 3 on Netflix… hilarious! We just need to watch Part 1). Now my Mom is asleep and I’m getting there, but I wanted to do a few things first.

I have been very busy lately, but in the midst of a hectic day I got an email. The email said that someone fulfilled my FindAGrave.com request. I was so HAPPY! You see, during my free trial with Ancestry.com I found my parental Grandfather Juan Emilio Guerra-Gonzales’ Memorial page on FindAGrave. It had a picture of the front of the Puerto Rico National Cemetery in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. However it did not have a picture of his tombstone. I saw that there was a link to request a photo and I clicked on it. I found out that there were volunteers who fulfilled requests at their convenience. Well, lucky for me a volunteer named Leilani saw my request (as well as others) and took a couple of photos of my Grandpa’s grave. I got teary eyed and I am so thankful!

I am thankful for FindAGrave.com and their wonderful volunteers. I have never been to Puerto Rico but plan on visiting one day. And when I do, I would like to visit my ancestor’s graves to pay my respects. In the meantime I am very happy to see where my Grandpa is.

I plan on creating a memorial page on this site for all of my ancestors. Until then, the pillow is calling my name. I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving holiday!

Thankful for FindAGrave.com
